Mesh Industries, together with parent company Ullrich Machinery Co Ltd (UMC), have developed the patented MLokk Mesh to meet the need for a more secure, longer lasting, and safer mesh. The MLokk product can be manufactured in rolls up to 12m (40’ft) wide and weighing up to 1500kg (3300lbs). MLokk can be produced from a number of different wire types including :

  • Copper Wire
  • Galvanized Wire
  • Zinc Alloy Wire
  • VC Coated Wire


  • Strength – testing has shown that the MLokk Knuckle offers more than 3 times the strength over conventional knuckles.
  • Safety – MLokk knuckles prevent the mesh from ‘unzipping’ in the event of a broken wire.
  • Installation – the MLokk knuckle enables a ‘threading’ wire to be integrated into the mesh netting. This combined with the knuckle strength offers multiple secure joining points allowing for ease of installation.
  • Specifications – the MLokk range can be manufactured in rolls up to 12m (40’ft) wide, minimising the number of joins between panels.


  • The tails of the wire mesh are folded into the knuckle reducing the chance of causing damage or injury from sharp ends.
  • By locking the two wires together, it adds more rigidity to the mesh therefore maintaining its shape longer.
  • With the wires being securely held together it reduces the potential for additional wear of the wire mesh, therefore extending its lifespan
  • The ability to thread a wire rope/cable through the edge of the mesh distributes the weight of the mesh more evenly. This reduces the load on individual attachment points.
